About

Everytime you go click, that moment is lost forever, surviving only in your captured picture. That is why we have to take it in the best possible light. To keep it in our memory.

About Experimental Shades

Experimental Shades was created back in the year 2004 when I got my first digital camera, the Canon A95.
In the midst of learning about photography, I stumbled onto a site that showcases the websites of people who like taking photographs. Most of the people are just ordinary people like you and me, just with a passion for photography. One thing I noticed about the websites are that most of them would have daily updates. Surrounding the idea of: A Photo A Day.

The motto of this idea is take at least one photo a day and post it up. It does not matter how your photos look. The idea is to take lots of pictures. LOTS of pictures. Quality matters at first, when you are just starting to learn about photography. Only then, quality comes into play.

Therefore, Experimental Shades was born. To drive me in my quest to take better pictures.
I believe everything has a beautiful side to it, no matter how it seems at first sight. I try my best to capture that beautiful side and show it to the world. It is also created so that I can share my works with my friends and family.

So I encourage all you views to go out and start snapping away!
Do let me know if you too, have a photoblog so that I may link you from here.

About Me

Born in the year of 1983.
Been taking photographs for the past 5 yrs.
Other interests include playing tennis, soccer, reading, movies, listening to music, going to concerts to name a few.

About My Equipment

Most of the earlier pictures here are taken with the old Canon A95.
The newer ones from July 09 are taken with the LX3.

All the time I try to proof the saying of “Its not the camera, its the photographer.” But this time, I have to agree that the LX3 is way superior to the A95. That being said, the A95 still takes the best pictures.
